Donna Yarbrough, Cumby Collegiate ISD’s current special education coordinator, was named as the new elementary school principal during Thursday's regular school board meeting.
The trustees unanimously approved the recommendation of Superintendent Shelly Slaughter.
“Cumby Collegiate elementary and Cumby Collegiate ISD are excited to welcome Mrs. Donna Yarbrough as the elementary principal for the 2024-2025 year. Mrs. Yarbrough has donated many years to Cumby and is a true asset. She brings heart, enthusiasm and vast knowledge to the position. She is a leader with a true passion for all kids,' Slaughter said.
“I’m excited for the new year. Mr. Wicks and I are working closely together,' Yarbrough said, after being welcomed to the new position by CCISD Board of Trustees President Jason Hudson.
