D6 Inc. in running for national Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award for recycling programs

The US Plastics Pact announced a Sulphur Springs business among the top seven finalists for the 2024 Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award - Recyclability. The award was created to showcase innovations that help to keep plastic packaging in the economy and out of the environment and enable progress towards the U.S. Pact’s four targets: recyclability, refill, compostability and reuse: This year’s finalists include:

„ Verdafresh: Recycle Ready Protective Packaging Finalists were selected based on their entries into Walmart's Circular Connector. Walmart in April 2022 announced a goal to achieve 100% recyclable, reusable or industrially compostable packaging by 2025.

The Circular Connector is designed as an online tool to bridge the gap between companies searching for more sustainable packaging ideas and those that offer them.

D6 Inc. has also been named Northeast Texas 2023 Small Employer of the Year and was named Manufacturer of the Year in 2019 by the Portland Business Journal. D6 founder and President Ed Dominion was named Executive of the Year in 2021.
