Monday agenda includes longevity pay policy, plats

Hopkins County Commissioners Court is slated Monday morning to review and consider two preliminary plats, a variance reuqest, election agreement, a grant contract, proposals for a new building for Precinct 2 and a longevity pay policy change, among other items.

The county sought businesses to submit proposals for a clear span metal building for Precinct 2, where a storm this summer destroyed the existing building. The deadline to receive RFPs was Wednesday. The court will be asked to consider based on those submissions one to approve for the project.

Submitted for court consideration are two preliminary plats, one for a Perrin Addition and the other for The North Addition, as well as a request made by By-Line Surveying LLC on behalf of The Meadows at Deer Crossing for a variance.

Commissioners too will be asked to consider approving a joint election agreement with Como-Pickton CISD and North Hopkins ISD, corporal positions for the sheriff 's office, a SAVNS Grant contract for fiscal year 2024 and a contract renewal agreement for SAVNS grant, and updated logevity policy.

AgriLife Extension staff, 4-H members and community members are expected to attend for the oral presentation of National 4-H Week and Hopkins County Beef Day proclamations during the 9 a.m. meeting court meeting Sept. 25 .
