Simple, individual income tax return preparation for the 2022 tax season is offered through the AARP Foundation Tax Aide program Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. through April 15.

You don’t have to be a senior citizen or a member of AARP either. You don’t have to be low-income. In fact, you just need to make an appointment, bring your simple individual tax return documents to the Tax Aide location inside Sulphur Springs Public Library, and have it prepared while you wait.

To get started, go to aarp. org and follow the prompts to “Make an Appointment,” or use the QR code posted at the library and various other locations for the website, phone Sulphur Springs Public Library at 903-8854926, or simply visit the Library and staff will help set up an appointment for tax preparation. All services are free of charge.

When you arrive for your appointment, bring your government-issued ID and any tax documents which may be needed to prepare your return. Also, a copy of last year’s return may be helpful.
