Garland woman arrested on multiple charges

A 40-year-old Garland woman was arrested during a traffic stop at 6:34 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 30 east at mile marker 112 on multiple charges.

Hunt County advised dispatch of a hit on a license plate on a vehicle heading for Hopkins County. Bolanle Olawumi McGruder, 40, of Garland was a passenger in the vehicle and had active warrants from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport for manufacture or delivery of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering and theft of service $100-$750.

Chief Investigator Corley Weatherford located the vehicle near the county line and initiated a traffic stop. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, he reportedly located a small amount of marijuana.

Bond was set at $14,500 for all charges, and she was released Sunday.
