Hornets struggle in Boles Tournament

MG lost every game played

QUINLAN — The Miller Grove Hornets got back to work last week by competing in the Boles Tournament. During that time, they played in six games, but failed to record a single win.

In their first game, the Hornets played the host team, the Boles Hornets. Miller Grove suffered a 7141 loss in that game.

For their second game, the Hornets took on the McLeod Longhorns. The Longhorns would hand the Hornets a 70-37 loss.

Their third game pitted the Hornets against the Celeste Blue Devils. The Blue Devils handed the Hornets a 71-32 loss.

In their fourth game, the Hornets played the Sulphur Bluff Bears. The Bears handed the Hornets a 60-36 loss.

Their fifth game was against the Saltillo Lions. The Hornets lost that game 50-24.

For their final game, the Hornets played the Simms Bowie Pirates. The Hornets’ tournament run ended with a 44-35 loss.

With these losses, the Hornets dropped to 3-19 overall. They resumed action Tuesday, traveling to Greenville to take on the Greenville Pioneer Technology and Arts Academy (PTAA) Panthers.
